Teacher:

Uwe Zeutzheim studied piano, chamber music, and song accompaniment in Mainz, Hanover, and Frankfurt with Gerhard Niess, Wolfgang Schamschula, Burkhard Schaeffer, Klaus Storck, and Charles Spencer. He attended numerous master classes, including one with Menahem Pressler (Beaux Arts Trio). He was a scholarship recipient at the Hanover University of Music for the “International Music Days” in Hitzacker. Since then, he has performed concerts and made television, CD, and radio recordings in Germany (SWF, SR, BR), the USA, Finland, Poland, Italy, France, Switzerland, and Turkey as a sought-after song accompanist, chamber music partner, and soloist.
Uwe Zeutzheim accepted multiple invitations to the Savonlinna Opera Festival in Finland, where he had the opportunity to work with Tom Krause and Jorma Hynninen. On the initiative of the Goethe-Institut, he served as a guest lecturer for German Lied at the State Conservatory in Ankara, Turkey. At the invitation of the German Foreign Office, he gave numerous performances in Bonn and Berlin, as well as concerts in Poland, including a performance of Mozart’s Piano Concerto KV 413 at the Opole Philharmonic.
In 2010, Uwe Zeutzheim, accompanied by the Peter Cornelius Symphony Orchestra Mainz, performed Beethoven’s 5th Piano Concerto as part of the “Kulturfestival Boppard.” Additionally, he has regularly served as a jury member in various competitions.
Uwe Zeutzheim is a lecturer at the Peter Cornelius Conservatory in Mainz, teaching piano and song interpretation. His successful teaching is reflected in numerous competition achievements of his students, including several first-place national winners in the “Jugend Musiziert” competition.

Course Description:
This course is aimed at young pianists who are preparing for exams, concerts, and competitions, especially Jugend Musiziert 2026 or other competitions.
It is also intended for young students or school pupils preparing for an entrance exam, as well as for university students seeking further education.
Repertoire:
Piano solo literature from all eras: From Baroque through Classical and Romantic to contemporary music.
Accommodation:
Students are hosted on a shared room basis in a beautiful villa on the bank of the Rhine river.
Meals:
A kitchen is available for cooking; groceries can be bought in a nearby supermarket. Group shopping is advised. A different team can do the cooking daily, which can be organize in situ.
Rooms:
Committed to the spirit of romanticism, all masterclasses offered by the Sankt Goar International Music Festival and Academy unite everything under one roof: living, learning, eating and sleeping. That is why participants will be hosted on a shared room basis.
Audition information and registration:
In order to be accepted, you must meet one of the following criteria:
(a) be recommended by Mr. Zeutzheim, or
(b) submit an unedited video audition (YouTube link) for review.
In addition, you must complete and submit our application form and pay a €40,- application fee.
